Christmas light installation FAQ
Cost, timing, takedown and the rest.
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Roofline lighting runs about $8 to $12+ per linear foot as a ballpark. The final price depends on how many feet of roofline you have, the number of stories, and extras like trees and wreaths. Call or send the quote form and we will give you a firm number.
Do you provide the lights, or do I buy them?
We provide the lights. You do not have to buy anything. We hang them, repair them during the season, take them down and store them, and your quote covers the whole job.
When should I book?
As early as you can. Booking runs from now through early December, and the calendar fills as the holidays get closer. Early bookings also qualify for our early-booking offer.
How long does the install take?
It depends on the house. A low, single-story home takes less time than a tall, steep three-story with several gables. When you book, we give you an install window, and we tell you if we need more than one visit.
Do you take the lights down?
Yes. Takedown after the holidays is part of the service, so you do not have to find a ladder in January.
Can you store the lights for next year?
Yes. We store them, and they go back up on your house when you re-book. Your house is already measured, which makes the next quote quick.
What if a bulb or a section goes out?
Call us. In-season maintenance is part of the service, and we come out to repair it.
What about rain, wind or cold?
The lights are made to stay up outside through the season. If the weather makes it unsafe to be on a roof on install day, we move the date.
Are you insured?
Yes. If your HOA or property manager needs to confirm coverage, ask when you request your quote.
My HOA has rules. Can you work with them?
Yes. Some HOAs want exterior decorations approved first. We can give you a written description of what we plan to install to send to your board.
Do you do commercial jobs, and can you invoice us?
We light storefronts, offices, restaurants and apartment communities. Commercial accounts can be invoiced. Tell us what your accounts payable team needs when you request the quote.
What is permanent lighting?
It is a lighting system installed on the house once and used year-round, for the holidays and other occasions. If you like the look of your Christmas lights, ask us about it.
What areas do you serve?
We are based around Norcross, GA, and also serve Peachtree Corners, Berkeley Lake, Duluth, Doraville, Tucker and Johns Creek. Not on the list? Ask, and we will tell you whether we can get there.
How much does it cost to hang Christmas lights on a two-story house?
Roofline lighting runs about $8 to $12+ per linear foot, and the footage of the roofline matters more than the number of floors. A taller or steeper house usually has more footage and needs more equipment and time. For example, 150 feet of roofline at $8 to $12+ per foot is $1,200 to $1,800+. We measure before we give you a firm number.
Is it worth paying someone to hang Christmas lights?
For most people, yes. We handle the ladders, the roof, the testing, the repairs in December and the takedown in January. You skip the risk of working on a roof and the job of untangling and boxing lights afterward.
Are there discounts for booking Christmas lights early?
Yes. Book by October 25th and you get 20% off. Booking stays open through early December, but the discount ends on the 25th.
Do you wrap trees and bushes, or just the roofline?
Both. Most homes start with the roofline, and we can wrap trees, outline shrubs and edge walkways too. Trees and shrubs are priced once we see them.
Do you use nails or staples on my roof and gutters?
No. We clip the lights on rather than staple or nail them into your trim. If you have a specific worry about a roof edge or gutter, tell us when you request the quote.
Can I choose white or colored lights?
Most of the homes we light use warm white. If you want color on the roofline or a tree, tell us when you request your quote and we will price it the same way.
How do I get a Christmas light installation quote?
Call or text 470-260-3216, or send the quote form with your address, a photo of the front of the house, and a note on how tall the house is and how steep the roof is. A roofline is priced by the foot, so we confirm the final number after we measure.
How long do the lights stay up?
They go up on your install date and stay through the holidays. We take them down afterward, in January, and store them for next year.
What is the cheapest way to get a good-looking display?
Light the front roofline and the entry first. Price follows footage, so a shorter run costs less. You can add trees, wreaths or the sides of the house next season.
Can I add to my display next year?
Yes. We keep your measurements and store your lights, so adding a section or a few trees next season is a quick quote.
What hours can I call or text?
7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, every day, Monday through Sunday.
Do you light businesses and apartment communities as well as homes?
Yes. We light storefronts, offices, restaurants and apartment communities, plus HOA entrances and common areas. We work around your hours, and commercial accounts can be invoiced.
